Thomas J. Diehl was born in Cincinnati and raised in Centerville, Ohio. After graduating from Centerville High School in 1981, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Miami University in 1985 and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1988.

Admitted to the Ohio Bar and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio that same year, Tom has been in private practice with his main office in Lebanon, Ohio since 1989. Over the past three decades, he has represented thousands of clients in personal injury claims involving motor vehicle, motorcycle, and semi-truck accidents—recovering more than $50 million on their behalf.

Tom has tried over 30 jury cases to verdict, including a nationally recognized criminal case that was featured on ABC’s 20/20, NPR, and in The Wall Street Journal. He has been lead counsel in several published Ohio appellate decisions, including:

Bemmes v. Public Employee Retirement Board (1995), 102 Ohio App.3d 782
Togo International, Inc. v. Mound Steel Corp. (1998), 106 Ohio App.3d 282
Burnell v. Dulle (2006), 169 Ohio App.3d 792

My only concern is obtaining the best possible outcome for my clients.

Tom served as an acting judge for Warren County Court from 2001 to 2005 and has held leadership roles in numerous professional organizations, including Treasurer and President of the Warren County Bar Association. He is a member of the Ohio Association for Justice, and regularly teaches at lawyer continuing education symposiums.

Tom is honored to be a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America—an invitation-only trial lawyer society recognizing less than 0.5% of attorneys nationwide. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a group limited to attorneys who have secured million- and multi-million-dollar verdicts or settlements. He has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Ohio by the National Trial Lawyers Association and has earned a perfect 10.0 rating from AVVO. His firm, Diehl law, holds a Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Tom limits the number of cases he takes so that every client receives focused, personal attention. He shares his personal cell phone number with clients and is always accessible for questions or meetings. His practice is exclusively devoted to serious injury cases from motor vehicle accidents, ensuring that he maintains deep knowledge and expertise in this area of law.

Tom’s interest in law began early—he was captivated as a young child by Perry Mason episodes he watched with his family. Outside the office, he is an avid golfer and a lifelong Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan, always holding out hope for a pennant run. Tom has been married for 33 years and is the proud father of three children—Jack (26), Jordan (24), and Jimmy (20)—and one loyal golden retriever named Charlie.
