Marty Hubbell of Diehl & Hubbell, LLC, has been named to the Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Stars list as one of the top attorneys in Ohio for 2012. This is the third time Marty has been honored with this distinction. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected to the list. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

We are pleased to announce that McGuire A. Griffin, a 2012 graduate of the University of Cincinnati, College of Law, has been named as an associate at the law firm of Diehl & Hubbell, LLC. In November, Mr. Griffin was admitted to the Ohio Bar. He will have a general practice of law and will represent clients from Dayton to Cincinnati.

Diehl & Hubbell successfully argued that a trial court must inform a defendant of certain potential consequences at the time of sentencing. The Ohio Supreme Court’s decision reversed the Twelfth District Court of Appeals. The appellate court originally denied the requested relief under the ripeness doctrine.

Marty Hubbell has been selected as a member of The National Trial Lawyers Association: Top 40 under 40. He is one of only 40 trial lawyers to be chosen for membership into the association. Membership into this top young trial attorney organization is by invitation only and extended exclusively to those individuals who exemplify superior qualifications, trial results, and leadership. Congratulations, Marty, for this great achievement!
